How to Top Up Your Boiler Pressure
Low pressure is one of the most common boiler faults we see in Biggleswade and Bedfordshire homes. Luckily, it’s often simple to fix.
Step 1: Check the Pressure Gauge
If it’s below 1 bar, the pressure is too low.
Step 2: Locate the Filling Loop
Usually a silver, flexible hose under your boiler.
Step 3: Open the Valves Slowly
Turn them gently until you hear water entering the system.
Step 4: Watch the Gauge
Stop filling once the pressure reaches 1.5 bar.
Step 5: Close the Valves Tightly
Ensure both ends are shut before turning the boiler back on.
